There are no rules; moving, jumping, having fun, or even personalizing the session with favourite objects is allowed in order to capture the most candid and authentic photos.

Toni, 11 years old


On February 19, 2009, Toni happily headed off to school. During recess, she was pushed by a classmate, fell and hurt her knee. She hobbled home. This would be the beginning of a difficult ordeal. Toni was in pain. Taking no chances, her mother, Valerie, took her to the neighbourhood clinic to undergo a series of x-rays. Nothing showed up on the x-rays but Toni’s condition persisted. Two days later, her mother took her to The Children’s where it was discovered that she had a fractured tibia. Toni’s leg was put in a cast. Three weeks later, when the cast was removed, her leg was an alarming colour.

sam i am rocks the abc ball for the children's


The group Sam I Am were a hit at the ABC Ball for The Children’s, held on May 27 at Windsor Station. The young band mates treated the five hundred guests to their own renditions of some favourite rock classics. Without a doubt, the four talented boys made an impression on an appreciative audience.
